The birthplace of Pilates

During the First World War, Joseph Pilates was interned at Knockaloe Camp on the Isle of Man, where he began developing the exercise method now known as Pilates. This summer, thousands will return to Knockaloe for a wellness festival and world-record attempt at the largest single Pilates class.
