BBC Wildlife, BBC Sky at Night & BBC Countryfile– Isle of Man – Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promoter is Our Media Limited  (company number 05715415) a company incorporated in England and Wales whose registered address is Eagle House, Colston Avenue, Bristol BS1 4ST.
  2. The BBC Code of Conduct for competitions can be found at https://www.bbc.com/editorialguidelines/guidance/code-of-conduct and all BBC magazines comply with the Code.
  3. The promotion is open to all residents of the UK, including the Channel Islands, aged 18 years or older, except the Promoter’s employees or contractors and anyone connected with the promotion or their direct family members.
  4. The closing date for entries is 12:59 PM on 31st October 2024.
  5. By entering the promotion, the participants agree:
    • to be bound by these terms and conditions; 
    • That their surname and country of residence may be released if they win a prize; and
    • that should they win the promotion, their name and likeness may be used by the Promoter for pre-arranged promotional purposes.
  6. Entrants should enter by answering a multiple choice question and completing the form on the BBC Countryfile, BBC Sky at Night & BBC Wildlife Microsite Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered.
  7. Entrants must supply to Our Media Limited their full name and email address.  The Promoter will use entrants’ personal details in accordance with the Our Media Privacy Policy (https://policies.ourmedia.co.uk/privacy-policy/).
  8. Only one entry will be permitted per person, regardless of method of entry.  Bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted.

  9. The winning prize includes: 

    • 1 x three night stay for two adults (18+) on the Isle of Man at either a hotel of a at least a 3* or 4* rating or at a self catering property of the winner’s choice, up to a total value of £500. The winner will be given a selection to choose from, based on their chosen travel dates.
    • Flights to and from a UK airport of the winner's choice with travel links to the Isle of Man, or if the winner is travelling from Heysham or Liverpool, transport via ferry. 1 x 23kg baggage per person is included when flying, and there is no baggage limit if travelling by car and ferry.
    • 2 x ‘Go Explore’ Heritage Cards (https://manxnationalheritage.im/shop/product/go-explore-adult-pass/).
    • 1 x excursion to the value of £200 for two adults. The excursion to be tailored to the interests of the winners i.e. trike tour, clear bottom kayaking, wildlife boat trip. Options available will be provided to the winner at the time of booking.
  10. If the winner chooses to travel by air, a hire car will be provided for the duration of the trip. The use of a rental car is contingent on the prize winner being at least 25 years of age and holding a valid full driver's licence in their name. Proof of licence and age will be required at the time of booking.
  11. If the winner chooses to travel by ferry, the winner is permitted to bring their own personal vehicle onto the ferry. Any fees charged by the ferry service for vehicle transport would be covered for the winner’s vehicle.
  12. The winner is responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation and parking to the airport/ferry port and any incidental costs incurred while travelling to or on holiday. All other holiday expenses such as food are not included in the prize. Visa arrangements (if applicable) and travel insurance are also the responsibility of the prize winner.
  13. The Prize can only be taken between 1st November 2024 to 31st October 2025, excluding    26th May 2025 - 7th June 2025 and 17th August - 24th August 2025.
  14. The winning entrant will be the first correct entry drawn at random from all the correct entries after the closing date.  The Promoter’s decision as to the winners is final and no correspondence relating to the promotion will be entered into. The Promoter may share the winners’ details with the prize provider for the purpose of fulfilling the prizes.
  15. The winners will be notified within 14 days of the close of the promotion by email. If the winners cannot be contacted or fails to respond within 28 days of such notification being sent, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future promotion.
  16. The surname and county of residence of each winner will be available upon request by sending an SAE to BBC Wildlife, BBC Sky at Night & BBC Countryfile Competition, Eagle House, Bristol, BS1 4ST within two months of the closing date of the promotion. The Promoter will contact the winners before releasing this information and provide the winners the opportunity to object or limit the amount of information shared.
  17. There is no cash alternative and the prizes will not be transferable.  Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred.  The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prizes with one of the same or greater value.
  18. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  19. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed or fraudulent entries.
  20. The Promoter excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to the participant arising from his or her entry into the promotion or occurring to the winners arising from his or her acceptance of a prize.
  21. The promotion is subject to the laws of England.
